Resist the Temptation - You take the cake

Have you ever had a layout or sketch or project that you just couldn't get off your mind? I do all the time. I sit down and a particular image just keeps drawing me to it and I have no choice but to go with it, even though that may not be the one I was intending to work on. I bought a couple of sets from My Favorite Things and those images have just been calling my name! I went on ahead and colored some of the images but I never did anything with them. I have been working through the temptation to get them back out but tonight I just couldn't resist. So I made up this birthday card. This is the "You Take the Cake" digi image. I do have a few April birthdays coming up, my Mom included so I had better get moving.

Spring Break is coming

OMG! Spring break is coming and it can't get here fast enough for me. I have been so busy, this weekend was FULL! I didn't have much time to craft and that makes me cranky. I realize crafting is my "happy place". I can just sit an be. Even with the horrible thunderstorm that rolled in on Sunday afternoon, we were out and about running errands. That's why I need to win the lottery so I don't have to do such things, I can just hire someone to go grocery shop for me. Woo hoo wouldn't that be nice? Anyway, I was able to get one challenge accomplished. My friend presented me with a challenge. "Smiles are..." and use the colors, black, red, and pink. This was difficult because I don't like pink and red together. It's hard for me to find shades that compliment each other. But I did it! NOW WHAT???!!! Smiles are... Inside reads: For friends who bring flowers. So where's my flowers?

Digi Shack Color Challenge

The Digi Shack had a color challenge up last week in their SNRCardUniverse Group. I thought I would get a chance to enter, but I wasn't crazy about the color choices ( and I sooooooooo missed the deadline). I forced myself to sit down and do the challenge. I was very surprised with how this came out and now I have a color pallet that I love!

Sad, But True

I've started a blog. I resisted as long as I could, but I've been stalking, oops, I meant visiting everyone else's blog I thought it was time I had one of my own. So here I am!!! YAY ME!!!

I want somewhere to showcase my work and having said that here is a little gift card holder I made for my niece.

But this gift card holder has a sad but true story behind it. I was cleaning out my purse and stumbled across the gift card. I bought the gift card for Christmas...need I remind anyone it's now March!!!!! It's sad, but true that I am a SLACKER! My neice will have to forgive me, I suffer from CRS - Can't Remember Stuff". LOL!
