How about a tease....

I've already told you Daisy Doodles is having a blog hop, but what I didn't tell you was that there is a great new summer release up for grabs at the end of the hop. Here's my sample with one of the images from the new release. Can you tell I still have summer on the brain? I am still on this mission to try new things for 2010, so this is my first Z-fold card. free glitter - http://www.sparklee.com

Attitude of Gratitude

School will be ending soon and I wanted to get a jump on my end of year present for my daughter's teacher. She has had such a good year. I am so happy with her progression. Her teacher did an amazing job with the class. The Girl is so into reading and now doesn't shy away from chapter books. I made this card as a thank you. I still need to find or make a little something to go with it, but at least I've gotten started.

This card uses a Daisy Doodles image. Did I tell you Miss Daisy is opening her own store? Yep, June 3rd is the grand opening and we're kicking it off with a 3 day blog hop. Be sure to check back on June 1st for the blog hop.

A scrapbook layout to share

I so miss scrapbooking. Since moving into the house I only have my craft room partially completed. There's still tons of boxes in the middle of the room and I can't get my craft table set up. I'm going to do something about that this summer. I want my scrap space!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I was getting a little tired of cards. So decided to try an 8X8 layout. I still wanted to use my digi stamps. I am so addicted to coloring. I already had this image colored so just worked around that. Here is my page.
Supplies: Pattern Paper - DCWV, Cardstock - Bazill & The Paper Company, Image - Meljen Designs, Ribbon, Font - Felt Marker, Journaling Spot - Making Memories, Sharpie Marker

My bag isn't Cricut but I had this image colored for a while just waiting for the right project to come along.

Hoe Does your Garden Grow?

Sweet N Sassy Stamps asked the question, "What's in your Garden?". It's their challenge theme for their Digi Day in the SNR group. Well my answer...Bee's. They are everywhere and I have hives hanging all over my porch. As quickly as I get rid of one, they build the next one. I have been seeing glitter and shininess all over the place lately so I dug out that long forgotten stash and glittered up the bee's wings. They turned out cute. I'm going to leave my glitter out where I can see it. (LOL!) Challenges entered: 365 Cards - Tri Colored Drunken Stampers - Use your scraps Totally Gorjuss - Round and Round Easy Craft Project - Spring My Time to Craft - Too Cute free glitter - http://www.sparklee.com

Recycle Challenge

Wow, the time is getting away from me. I was so busy with getting ready for the girls scouts and DT assignments I had little time to do anything else. I did manage to get my challenge out for our challenge among friends. This challenge was to use something recycled on your card or layout. Here is my card.

Can you tell what I recycled? It's the clothes label. My daughter is so into Hannah Montana. At least she was a few months ago. (They change their minds so quickly!)

The guitar image was a freebie from Cocodingo. I thought it was perfect for my challenge card.

Challenges entered:
PaperTake Weekly - Shiny, Sparkly & Special

Working with the Girl Scouts

Today was our project with the Girls Scout Brownies. We helped the troop earn their badges for "Hobbies". Many of the girls have hobbies the enjoy, like collecting shells, collecting shark's teeth, a couple even said they scrapbook. So today after we discussed hobbies and ways to create hobbies we made mini scrapbooks.
